Angelo's place

I thought I’d seen enough places and cultures not to be shocked by stepping into yet another realm, but nothing quite prepared me for Amsterdam. I’ve heard it described many times in the past, and thought I knew what to expect, but it’s just one of those places you have to see to understand. So, I’m in the process of testing the Matriarc thruster I designed and made at the European Space Agency Technology Center (ESTEC) in the Netherlands. So far things are going well but at the moment my thruster keeps melting everything. I’ll have some results late next week, which will either make me famous, or send me back to the drawing board. After seeing Leiden, ESTEC and Amsterdam, I’d make the choice to move here in a second, and probably will after the PhD for a post doc. I’m in another world here, and I wouldn’t want to leave if it wasn’t for the fact that Oktoberfest in Munich is next… I’ll miss this place every day until I return…
